MotionGen
MotionGen is a web-based software, which requires a registration on our website before it can be used. Most users with access to email are required to provide their name, email, role (student, teacher, or personal), and affiliation. Users can edit any of their personal information anytime. They can also request deletion of their account by sending an email at info@mechanismic.com
Since MotionGen is often used in educational settings where younger students may not have access to email for confirming their accounts, a teacher can securely create classes and user accounts for their students. Teachers can also edit or delete classes or student accounts as per their requirements. We do not share any personally identifiable information of any user with anyone outside our organization. Neither do we sell or advertise any of this information. We also do not advertise on our MotionGen platform. We care about our users privacy and remain transparent about our privacy practices.
MotionGen uses Google cloud services and storage for managing users’ personal information and also for storing their personal projects that they create using MotionGen. Students’ projects are private by default. Teachers using MotionGen Classrooms control what is shared and with whom. Unless teachers choose to share, no student work is visible outside of the MotionGen Class, or to other students within the Class. The only third party service that we use for MotionGen is Google cloud hosting and storage services, which provides state-of-the-art security and compliance in data storage. They undergo independent verification of their security, privacy, and compliance controls to help meet regulatory and policy objectives. See their data security page at https://cloud.google.com/security for more details.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data

All users can see, edit, or request deletion of their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
